Mushroom Filling

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Mushrooms

Gently clean the button mushrooms with a damp cloth. Remove the stems and set the caps aside. Finely chop the stems for the filling.

  3. 3

    Make the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the minced garlic, chopped mushroom stems, softened cream cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, chopped thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until the ingredients are fully combined.

  4. 4

    Stuff the Mushrooms

Take a mushroom cap and fill it generously with the prepared filling. Repeat this process for all mushroom caps.

Baking

  1. 5

    Prepare for Baking

Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle olive oil over the mushrooms.

  2. 6

    Mix Topping

In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, extra grated Parmesan cheese, and paprika. Mix well.

  3. 7

    Add Topping

Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over each stuffed mushroom.

  4. 8

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden brown.

  5. 9

    Serve

Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your stuffed mushrooms warm!
