Steak Sandwich

Skillet Fried Potatoes

Method

Steak Sandwich

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the New York strip steak with salt and black pepper on both sides. Let it rest at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil. Once hot, place the steak on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes.

  3. 3

    Toast the Bread

While the steak is resting, toast the slices of French bread on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Sandwich

Slice the cooked steak against the grain into thin strips. Place the toasted French bread on a plate, top with the steak slices, and drizzle Henry Bain sauce over the top.

Skillet Fried Potatoes

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the Russet potatoes. Cut them into small cubes (about 1-inch).

  2. 6

    Cook the Potatoes

In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the cubed potatoes, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir to coat the potatoes evenly.

  3. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Cook the potatoes for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside and tender inside.

  4. 8

    Garnish

Once cooked, remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
