Method

Shrimp Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Shrimp

In a bowl, season the peeled and deveined shrimp with salt and black pepper. Toss to ensure the shrimp are evenly coated.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

Prepare three shallow dishes: one for all-purpose flour, one for the beaten eggs, and one for panko breadcrumbs.

  3. 3

    Bread the Shrimp

Dredge each shrimp in the flour, shaking off any excess. Dip it into the beaten eggs, then coat it thoroughly with panko breadcrumbs. Set aside on a plate.

Frying the Shrimp

  1. 4

    Heat Oil

In a large pot or deep skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 5

    Fry the Shrimp

Carefully add the breaded shrimp to the hot oil in batches, taking care not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove the shrimp and drain them on paper towels.

Sweet Chili Aioli Preparation

  1. 6

    Mix the Aioli

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, minced garlic, and lime juice. Whisk together until smooth and well blended.
