Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Linguine

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sausage Cooking

  1. 2

    Cook the Italian Sausage

In a large skillet over medium heat, remove the casing from the Italian sausage and crumble it into the skillet. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Use a spoon to break it apart as it cooks.

Combine Sauce and Sausage

  1. 3

    Add Marinara Sauce

Once the sausage is fully cooked, add the marinara sauce to the skillet. Stir to combine and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.

Mix Pasta and Sauce

  1. 4

    Combine with Linguine

Add the drained linguine to the skillet with the sausage and marinara sauce. Toss well to coat the pasta evenly. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of pasta cooking water.

Herbs and Seasoning

  1. 5

    Add Fresh Herbs

Stir in the fresh basil and parsley. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Mix well to incorporate the herbs into the pasta.

Serve

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

Serve hot, topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Enjoy your Linguine Giovanni!
