Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Salmon

Place the salmon filets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure each piece is well coated. Cover with plastic wrap and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Grilling

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F/190°C). If using a charcoal grill, wait until the coals are glowing and covered with ash.

  2. 4

    Grill the Salmon

Remove the salmon from the marinade and discard the marinade. Place the salmon filets skin-side down on the grill. Cook for about 6-8 minutes per side, depending on thickness, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.

  3. 5

    Check for Doneness

Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the salmon. It should reach 145°F (63°C).

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Salmon

Once cooked, remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Serve on plates and garnish with lemon slices and fresh dill sprigs.
