Method

Prepare Wonton Filling

  1. 1

    Mix Filling Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded Monterey Jack cheese, chopped green chilies, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well until all ingredients are evenly mixed.

Assemble Wontons

  1. 2

    Fill Wontons

Take a wonton wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water using your finger. Fold the wrapper in half diagonally to create a triangle, pressing the edges to seal. You can also crimp the edges with a fork for a decorative touch. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.

Prepare Guacamole Sauce

  1. 3

    Make Guacamole

In a bowl, mash the ripe avocados with a fork until smooth. Add lime juice, salt, chopped cilantro, and minced garlic. Mix until well combined and set aside.

Fry Wontons

  1. 4

    Heat Oil

In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can test the oil by dropping a small piece of wonton wrapper into it; if it sizzles, the oil is ready.

  2. 5

    Fry Wontons

Carefully add the filled wontons to the hot oil in small batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove the wontons and drain on paper towels.
