Main Dish

Skillet Fried Potatoes

Method

Filet Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Filet

In a small bowl, combine honey, Mandarin liqueur, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and black pepper. Mix well. Place the filet mignon in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the meat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Filet

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the filet from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and sear each side for about 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, pour the reserved marinade over the filet and let it simmer for a minute.

Skillet Fried Potatoes Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into small cubes. Chop the onion.

  2. 4

    Cook the Potatoes

In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the potatoes and onions, season with salt and black pepper, and stir well. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy. Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
