Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix the Beef

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined to avoid overworking the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties about ¾ inch thick.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until they reach your desired doneness.

  2. 4

    Add Cheese

If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking, covering the grill or skillet to melt the cheese.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Toast the English Muffins

Split and toast the English muffins until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Layer the Toppings

On the bottom half of each muffin, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked burger patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, pickles, and onion slices.

  3. 7

    Finish the Assembly

Top with the other half of the muffin. Press down gently to secure the toppings.
