Preparation
1. Prepare the Prime Rib
Slice the prime rib thinly against the grain and season with salt and black pepper.
2. Cook the Vegetables (Philly Style)
If making the Philly style, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced green bell peppers, mushrooms, and onions, and sauté until soft, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Toast the Buns
While the vegetables are cooking, toast the buns in a separate pan or toaster until golden brown.
4. Assemble the Sandwich
Layer the thin-sliced prime rib on the toasted bun. If making Philly style, add the sautéed vegetables on top of the meat. Top with Swiss cheese.
5. Serve with Au Jus
Serve the sandwich with a side of Au Jus sauce for dipping.
