Cook the Pasta
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Sauté the Shrimp
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
Prepare the Sauce
Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. Allow it to cook for about 2 minutes to reduce slightly. Stir in the heavy cream, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Combine and Serve
Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Stir in grated parmesan cheese, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
