Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Chicken
While the pasta is cooking, season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked. Remove from the skillet and let rest before slicing.
Make the Sauce
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add the crushed tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in the heavy cream, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Let the sauce simmer for another 3-4 minutes until thickened.
Combine and Serve
Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat. Slice the chicken and place it on top of the pasta. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped basil before serving.
