Maryland Crab Benedict Ingredients

Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crab Cakes

Cook the Maryland crab cakes according to package instructions or your preferred recipe until golden brown.

  2. 2

    Poach the Eggs

Bring a pot of water to a simmer. Add a splash of vinegar. Crack each egg into a small bowl, then gently slide them into the simmering water. Poach for 3-4 minutes until the whites are set and yolks are still runny. Remove with a slotted spoon.

  3. 3

    Make the Cajun Hollandaise

In a blender, combine melted butter, lemon juice, Cajun seasoning, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth and creamy.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Mixed Greens Salad

In a bowl, toss mixed greens with olive oil, salt, and pepper to taste.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Dish

On each plate, place a crab cake, top with a poached egg, and drizzle with Cajun hollandaise. Garnish with chopped chives and serve with the mixed greens salad on the side.
