Burger Components

Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

Form the ground beef into two equal patties, season with salt and pepper.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Place the patties on the skillet and smash them down with a spatula for a crispy edge. Cook for about 3-4 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

Flip the patties and place a slice of American cheese on each. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.

  4. 4

    Toast the Rolls

While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the potato rolls on another pan or griddle.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

Spread house burger sauce on the bottom half of each roll. Place a cheeseburger patty, followed by onion slices and pickles. Top with the other half of the roll.

Fries Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and cut the potatoes into fries. Soak them in cold water for about 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  2. 7

    Heat the Oil

In a deep fryer or heavy pot, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

Drain and pat dry the soaked fries. Carefully add them to the hot oil, frying in batches until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes.

  4. 9

    Season the Fries

Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt to taste.
