Tortilla Chips

Homemade Salsa

Method

Tortilla Chips

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tortillas

Cut each corn tortilla into 6 wedges to create triangle-shaped chips.

  2. 2

    Heat the Oil

In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  3. 3

    Fry the Chips

Carefully add a few tortilla wedges to the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes.

  4. 4

    Drain and Season

Using a slotted spoon, remove the chips from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. While still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.

Homemade Salsa

  1. 5

    Prepare the Ingredients

Dice the fresh tomatoes, red onion, and jalapeño pepper. Chop the fresh cilantro finely.

  2. 6

    Mix the Salsa

In a mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, red onion, jalapeño, and chopped cilantro.

  3. 7

    Add Seasoning

Pour in the lime juice and add salt. Mix well to combine all ingredients.

  4. 8

    Adjust to Taste

Taste the salsa and adjust seasoning if needed, adding more lime juice or salt according to preference.
