Tortilla Chips
Homemade Salsa
Method
Tortilla Chips
- 1
Prepare the Tortillas
Cut each corn tortilla into 6 wedges to create triangle-shaped chips.
- 2
Heat the Oil
In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 3
Fry the Chips
Carefully add a few tortilla wedges to the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes.
- 4
Drain and Season
Using a slotted spoon, remove the chips from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. While still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.
