Preparation
- 1
Cook the Beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.
- 2
Season the Beef
Drain excess fat from the skillet. Add chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to the beef. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the spices are fragrant.
- 3
Combine Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the seasoned beef, cooked rice, and black beans. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
Assembly
- 4
Fill the Tortilla
Lay out a large flour tortilla on a clean surface. Spoon about 1 cup of the beef mixture onto the center of the tortilla.
- 5
Add Toppings
Top the beef mixture with salsa, shredded cheese, sour cream, and chopped cilantro according to your taste.
- 6
Wrap the Burrito
Fold in the sides of the tortilla and then roll it up from the bottom to enclose the filling completely. Ensure the filling is secure.
Cooking
- 7
Heat the Burritos (optional)
If desired, heat the wrapped burritos in a skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
