Cook the Sausage and Chicken
Add the sliced smoked sausage and chicken pieces to the pot. Cook until the chicken is browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Add Flavorings
Stir in the minced garlic, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another minute to release the flavors.

Combine Rice and Broth
Add the rice, diced tomatoes (with juice), and chicken broth to the pot. Stir well to combine.

Simmer
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and let it simmer for about 25-30 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and has absorbed the liquid.

Garnish and Serve
Once cooked, fluff the jambalaya with a fork. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot.
