Shrimp Preparation

1

Boil Shrimp

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt and the juice of half a lemon to the boiling water.

2

Cook Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the boiling water and cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque.

3

Cool Shrimp

Remove the shrimp from the pot and immediately place them in a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Let them cool for about 5 minutes.

4

Peel Shrimp

Once cooled, peel the shrimp, leaving the tails on for presentation.

Cocktail Sauce Preparation

5

Mix Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of horseradish, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, and 1 teaspoon of hot sauce.

6

Season

Add salt to taste and mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Serving

7

Plate Shrimp and Sauce

Arrange the chilled shrimp on a serving platter and serve with the cocktail sauce on the side.

8

Garnish

Optional: Garnish with lemon wedges and fresh herbs for added flavor and presentation.
