Mix Meatball Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, chopped onion, salt, black pepper, and fresh parsley. Mix until well combined.
Form Meatballs
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Using your hands, form the mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Barbecue Sauce Preparation
Prepare Barbecue Sauce
In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is heated through and slightly thickened (about 5-7 minutes).
Cooking Meatballs
Bake Meatballs
Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until cooked through and browned.
Glaze with Barbecue Sauce
Remove the meatballs from the oven and brush or toss them in the prepared barbecue sauce until fully coated.
Insert Lollipop Sticks
Carefully insert a lollipop stick into the center of each meatball, making sure they are secured.
Serve
Arrange the BBQ meatball lollipops on a serving platter and enjoy warm with extra barbecue sauce on the side.
