Method

Burger Preparation

1

Prepare the Burger Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

2

Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.

Balsamic Glaze Preparation

3

Cook the Balsamic Glaze

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the balsamic vinegar, honey, and olive oil. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until it thickens slightly. Set aside.

Cooking the Burger

4

Grill the Patties

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

5

Glaze the Burgers

During the last minute of cooking, brush the balsamic glaze onto the patties, allowing it to caramelize slightly.

Assembling the Burger

6

Assemble the Burger

Place each patty on a burger bun. Add optional toppings such as lettuce, tomato, and cheese as desired. Drizzle additional balsamic glaze on top if desired.

7

Serve

Serve immediately while hot with your choice of side dishes.
