Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Wings
Rinse the jumbo chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. This ensures they will crisp up nicely.
- 2
Season the Wings
In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Add the wings to the bowl and toss them until they are evenly coated with the seasoning.
Smoking the Wings
- 3
Preheat the Smoker
Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C) and add your choice of wood chips for flavor. Hickory or applewood works great.
- 4
Smoke the Wings
Place the seasoned wings on the smoker racks, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Smoke the wings for about 2 hours or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Serving
- 5
Toss in Sauce
Once the wings are smoked, you can toss them in your choice of sauce. If you prefer them naked, simply serve them as is.
- 6
Serve and Enjoy
Serve the wings hot with your choice of dipping sauces and enjoy!
