Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F). Rinse the pork ribs under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Apply the Dry Rub

In a bowl, mix together all the ingredients for the dry rub: brown sugar, paprika, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Rub this mixture generously over both sides of the ribs.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Bake the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover the ribs tightly with another piece of foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender.

  2. 4

    Prepare the Sauce

While the ribs are baking, combine the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, and honey in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat until warmed through, stirring occasionally.

  3. 5

    Glaze the Ribs

Once the ribs are tender, remove them from the oven and increase the oven temperature to 200°C (400°F). Brush the ribs generously with the prepared barbecue sauce mixture.

  4. 6

    Finish Cooking

Return the ribs to the oven uncovered and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the sauce is caramelized and sticky.

Serving

  1. 7

    Slice and Serve

Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Slice them between the bones and serve with additional barbecue sauce on the side.
