Preparation

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F) and prepare 4 ramekins by buttering them and dusting with flour.

Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Melt them together over a pot of simmering water, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Mix Sugar and Eggs
In a separate bowl, whisk together granulated sugar and the eggs until they are light and fluffy.

Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture, stirring continuously until fully combined.

Add Dry Ingredients
Sift in the all-purpose flour, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Gently fold the mixture until just combined.
Baking

Fill Ramekins
Pour the batter evenly into the prepared ramekins, filling each about 3/4 full.

Bake
Place the ramekins in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center remains soft.

Cool
Remove from the oven and let the fondants cool for 1 minute before inverting them onto plates.

Dust the warm chocolate fondants with powdered sugar and serve immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and fresh berries on the side.
