Method
For the Chicken Wings
- 1
Prepare the Chicken Wings
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings, olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Toss until the wings are well coated.
- 2
Bake the Chicken Wings
Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until the wings are crispy and cooked through.
- 3
Prepare the Hot Sauce Mixture
While the wings are baking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Once melted, stir in the hot sauce and mix well. Set aside.
- 4
Toss Wings in Sauce
Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the hot sauce mixture over the wings and toss until they are evenly coated.
For the Blue Cheese Dip
- 5
Prepare the Blue Cheese Dip
In a medium bowl, combine the blue cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- 6
Serve
Transfer the blue cheese dip to a serving bowl and refrigerate until the wings are ready. Serve the spicy chicken wings hot with the blue cheese dip on the side.
