Toppings
Method
Prepare the Burger Patty
- 1
Season the Meat
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well using your hands until the spices are evenly distributed.
- 2
Form the Patties
Divide the seasoned ground beef into two equal portions. Shape each portion into a round patty, about ¾ inch thick.
Cook the Burger Patty
- 3
Preheat the Grill or Pan
Preheat a grill or frying pan over medium-high heat.
- 4
- 5
Add Cheese (Optional)
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cover with a lid to help the cheese melt.
Assemble the Burger
- 6
Prepare the Buns
While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half. Optionally, toast the insides on the grill or in a toaster.
- 7
Layer the Ingredients
Start with the bottom half of the bun. Place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty (with melted cheese if used), tomato slices, pickles, onion rings, and any additional toppings you prefer.
- 8
Add Condiments
Spread ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise on the top half of the bun. Place it on top to finish assembling the burger.
