Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread

Preheat your grill. Tear the crusty bread into bite-sized pieces and lightly brush with olive oil. Grill the bread pieces until they're golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from the grill and let cool.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Tomatoes

While the bread is grilling, chop the heirloom tomatoes into large chunks and place them in a large mixing bowl.

  3. 3

    Make the Dressing

In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Salad

Add the grilled bread pieces to the bowl with the tomatoes. Tear the burrata cheese into pieces and add it to the salad along with the fresh basil leaves. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and gently toss everything together until evenly coated.

  5. 5

    Serve

Let the panzanella sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld before serving. Enjoy!
