Preparation

Pork Chop

1. Season the Pork Chop

Season the pork chop with salt, black pepper, and fresh thyme.

2. Sear the Pork

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chop for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.

3. Cook through

Transfer the pork chop to a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) and cook for an additional 10-12 minutes until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

Apple Balsamic Sauce

4. Combine Ingredients

In a saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar, apple juice, honey, and salt. Bring to a simmer.

5. Reduce Sauce

Reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes until the sauce thickens. Stir in butter before serving.

Chunky Apple Sauce

6. Cook Apples

In a saucepan, combine chopped apples, lemon juice, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Cook over medium heat until apples are soft, about 10 minutes.

7. Mash and Serve

Mash the apples with a fork for a chunky texture and set aside.

Parmesan Grits

9. Cook Grits

In a saucepan, combine pork drippings and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer and add fresh rosemary and salt. Reduce until slightly thickened.
