Method

Cooking Chicken

  1. 1

    Marinate the Chicken

In a bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken breasts and coat them thoroughly. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 450°F).

  3. 3

    Grill the Chicken

Place the marinated chicken breasts on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Cooking Rice

  1. 4

    Rinse the Rice

Rinse the long-grain rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.

  2. 5

    Cook the Rice

In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice, water, and salt. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 18-20 minutes until the rice is tender and the water has been absorbed.

  3. 6

    Fluff the Rice

Remove the saucepan from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes. Then, fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
