Seasoned Rice

Method

Preparation of Fish

  1. 1

    Preheat the oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the fish

Rinse the Atlantic whitefish fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. 3

    Season the fish

Drizzle olive oil over the fillets, then sprinkle salt and black pepper evenly on both sides.

Making Lemon Pepper Cream Sauce

  1. 4

    Combine sauce ingredients

In a medium bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, lemon juice, lemon zest, lemon pepper seasoning, and garlic powder until well combined.

  2. 5

    Pour sauce over fish

Pour the lemon pepper cream sauce evenly over the seasoned fish fillets on the baking sheet.

Cooking Rice

  1. 6

    Cook the rice

In a medium saucepan, combine the rice, water, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 7

    Simmer the rice

Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for about 15-18 minutes or until the rice is tender and all the water is absorbed.

  3. 8

    Fluff the rice

Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes. Then, fluff the rice with a fork.

Baking the Fish

  1. 9

    Bake the fish

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the fish for about 20-25 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

Serving

  1. 10

    Plate the dish

On a serving plate, create a bed of seasoned rice and place the baked Atlantic whitefish fillet on top. Drizzle any remaining sauce over the fish.

  2. 11

    Garnish

If desired, sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the dish for garnish.
