Method

Waffle Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar until well combined.

  2. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk the eggs. Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

  4. 4

    Preheat Waffle Iron

Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.

  5. 5

    Cook Waffles

Lightly grease the waffle iron with non-stick spray or a little melted butter. Pour the appropriate amount of batter onto the preheated waffle iron and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions until golden brown and crisp.

  6. 6

    Keep Waffles Warm

Transfer the cooked waffles to a warm oven (about 200°F or 93°C) while you prepare the rest.

Bacon Preparation

  1. 7

    Cook Bacon

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy, about 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway through. Remove and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.

Serving Instructions

  1. 8

    Plate the Waffles

Serve the warm waffles on a plate.

  2. 9

    Add Bacon

Arrange the crispy bacon strips alongside the waffles.

  3. 10

    Add Maple Syrup and Butter

Drizzle maple syrup over the waffles and add a pat of butter on top. Serve immediately.
