Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub each ribeye steak with olive oil, then season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat. Ensure the grates are clean and lightly oiled.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Place the seasoned steaks on the hot grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is achieved.

  4. 4

    Add Rosemary

During the last minute of grilling, place a sprig of rosemary on each steak for flavor infusion.

  5. 5

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.

French Fries Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 7

    Soak the Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. This helps achieve a crispier fry.

  3. 8

    Drain and Dry

After soaking, drain the potatoes and pat them dry with paper towels.

  4. 9

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  5. 10

    Fry the Potatoes

Fry the potatoes in batches, for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

  6. 11

    Season the Fries

Immediately sprinkle the fries with salt while they are still hot.
