Cooking Pasta
- 1
Boil Water
In a large pot, bring water to a boil over high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of salt to the boiling water.
- 2
Cook Pasta
Add the pasta to the boiling water and cook according to the package instructions, typically for about 8-10 minutes, until al dente.
- 3
Drain Pasta
Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and set aside, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
Sautéing Vegetables
- 4
Prepare Vegetables
While the pasta is cooking, wash and chop the zucchini, bell pepper, cherry tomatoes, carrot, and broccoli into bite-sized pieces.
- 5
Heat Oil
In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
- 6
- 7
Add Vegetables
Add the chopped vegetables (zucchini, bell pepper, cherry tomatoes, carrot, and broccoli) to the skillet. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
Combining Ingredients
- 8
Mix Pasta and Vegetables
Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Toss to combine well.
- 9
Add Seasoning
Sprinkle in black pepper, grated Parmesan cheese, and chopped fresh basil. If the mixture is too dry, add a little reserved pasta water to achieve the desired consistency.

Final Toss
Toss everything together over medium heat for 1-2 minutes until heated through and well mixed.
