Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Juicing the Lemons

Roll the fresh lemons on a countertop to soften them. Cut each lemon in half and juice them using a citrus juicer or by hand, making sure to remove any seeds.

  2. 2

    Mixing the Sugar and Water

In a pitcher, combine 1 cup of granulated sugar with 1 cup of warm water. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.

  3. 3

    Combining Ingredients

Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice to the sugar-water mixture. Pour in 3 cups of cold water and stir until well combined.

  4. 4

    Chilling the Lemonade

Taste the lemonade and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if necessary. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to chill.

Serving

  1. 5

    Serving the Lemonade

Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the chilled lemonade over the ice, and garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves if desired.
