Method

Cajeta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Goat's Milk

In a large saucepan, combine the goat's milk and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

  2. 2

    Add Baking Soda

Once boiling, stir in baking soda, which will help prevent the milk from curdling. Reduce heat to low.

  3. 3

    Simmer the Mixture

Let the mixture simmer, stirring frequently for about 1 to 1.5 hours until it thickens and turns a caramel color.

  4. 4

    Add Vanilla

Once done, remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Let it cool before transferring to a jar.

Banana Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Bananas

Peel the bananas and slice them into rounds.

  2. 6

    Mix Cinnamon Sugar

In a small bowl, combine the cinnamon and sugar.

  3. 7

    Coat the Bananas

Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the banana slices and toss gently to coat.

Whipped Cream Preparation

  1. 8

    Chill the Mixing Bowl

Place your mixing bowl and whisk or beaters in the freezer for about 10 minutes to chill.

  2. 9

    Whip the Cream

In the chilled bowl, add heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip on medium speed until soft peaks form.

Assembly

  1. 10

    Serve the Dish

In a serving dish, layer the cinnamon-sugar bananas and drizzle with the prepared cajeta. Top with a generous dollop of whipped cream.
