Cooking the Pasta

Boil the Pasta
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Making the Sauce

Prepare the Sauce
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in the nduja, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add crushed tomatoes and season with black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly in the sauce. Add fresh basil leaves and stir gently.

Plate the Dish
Serve the pasta in bowls, topped with generous portions of burrata cheese. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and garnish with additional fresh basil leaves.
