Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Marinate the chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- 2
Fry the Chicken
Heat oil in a deep skillet. Dredge the marinated chicken breasts in all-purpose flour and gently place them in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 7-8 minutes per side.
- 3
Cook the Sausage and Bacon
In another skillet, cook the sausage and bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- 4
Make the Mushroom Gravy
In the same skillet used for the sausage and bacon, add butter and sliced mushrooms. Sauté until mushrooms are browned. Add flour and stir for 1 minute. Slowly add water or broth, stirring continuously until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
