Directions

Prepare the Custard
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the whole milk, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and salt until smooth. Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and bubbles, about 5-7 minutes.
- 2
- 3
Slice the Bananas
While the custard is cooling, slice the bananas into round pieces.
- 4
Layer the Ingredients
In a large serving dish or individual cups, layer the vanilla wafers, sliced bananas, and custard. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of custard on top.
- 5
Make the Whipped Cream
In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream and powdered sugar together until soft peaks form.
- 6
Top with Whipped Cream
Spread the whipped cream evenly over the top layer of custard.
- 7
Chill and Serve
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
