Veggie Burger Preparation
1. Prepare the Bean Mixture
In a large bowl, mash the black beans with a fork until mostly smooth. Leave some chunks for texture.
2. Combine Ingredients
Add in the cooked quinoa, breadcrumbs, diced red bell pepper, chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, cumin powder, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
3. Form Patties
Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a burger patty.
4. Cook the Patties
Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook each patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and heated through.
5. Assemble the Burgers
Place each patty on a burger bun and top with lettuce, tomato, avocado, and any additional vegetable toppings you prefer.
6. Serve
Serve immediately with your favorite condiments and enjoy your veggie burger!
