Prepare the Marinade
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Mix well until the sugar dissolves.

Marinate the Chicken
Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over the chicken. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to overnight for more flavor).

Prepare the Teriyaki Sauce
While the chicken is cooking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan. In a separate bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Add this slurry to the saucepan and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly until it thickens.

Slice the cooked chicken and drizzle the thickened teriyaki sauce over the top. Garnish with sesame oil, chopped green onions, and sesame seeds. Serve with rice or steamed vegetables.
