Ingredients: 500 grams Shrimp, peeled and deveined; 300 grams Spaghetti; 200 ml Heavy cream; 400 grams Diced tomatoes (canned); 2 tablespoons Capers, rinsed; 1 teaspoon Hot pepper flakes; 100 grams Shaved cheese blend (Parmesan, Pecorino, etc.); 3 stalks Scallions, chopped; 2 tablespoons Olive oil; to taste Salt; to taste Black pepper

Sautéed shrimp, capers, a hint of hot pepper & tomato cream sauce, tossed with spaghetti, shaved cheese blend & scallions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

Cook the Spaghetti

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp, season with salt and black pepper, and sauté for about 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Sauté the Shrimp

In the same skillet, add the capers and hot pepper flakes, cooking for about 30 seconds. Then, add the diced tomatoes and heavy cream. Stir to combine and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Prepare the Sauce

Return the shrimp to the skillet with the sauce. Add the cooked spaghetti and toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water as needed to reach the desired consistency.

Combine Everything
