Falafel Ingredients

Method

Falafel Wrap Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Falafel Mixture

In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, parsley, cilantro, onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, salt, black pepper, flour, and baking powder. Pulse until a coarse mixture forms.

  2. 2

    Shape the Falafel

Transfer the mixture to a bowl and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Once chilled, shape the mixture into small patties or balls.

  3. 3

    Fry the Falafel

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the falafel in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Wrap

Warm the wraps or pita bread. Spread hummus or tahini sauce on each wrap, add fresh vegetables like lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers, then place the fried falafel on top.

  5. 5

    Serve

Roll up the wrap tightly and serve with extra sauce on the side.
