Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Dice the onion and chop the cilantro.

  2. 2

    Sauté Onions

In a large skillet or pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add Garlic and Spices

Add the minced garlic, cumin powder, and vegetable bouillon to the onions. Stir and cook for another minute until fragrant.

  4. 4

    Cook the Rice

Add the rinsed basmati rice to the skillet and stir to coat the rice with the onion mixture. Pour in the vegetable broth and bring to a boil.

  5. 5

    Simmer

Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and has absorbed all the broth.

  6. 6

    Finish and Serve

Remove from heat, fluff the rice with a fork, and stir in the chopped cilantro and Sazon Goya seasoning. Adjust salt to taste and serve warm.
