Method
Fried Potatoes Preparation
- 1
Boil the Potatoes
Peel and cut the potatoes into bite-sized pieces. Boil them in salted water until they are tender but not falling apart, about 10-15 minutes. Drain and let them cool.
- 2
Prepare the Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, water, all-purpose seasoning, chopped cilantro, Sazon, garlic powder, and paprika. Whisk until smooth and well combined.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep skillet or fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Dip and Fry
Dip each boiled potato piece into the batter, allowing excess to drip off. Carefully place the battered potatoes into the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per batch.
- 5
Drain and Serve
Remove the fried potatoes with a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot.
