Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Roses

Start by gently washing the fresh roses to remove any dirt or bugs. Pat them dry with a clean towel.

  2. 2

    Make Sugar Syrup

In a medium saucepan, combine the water and granulated sugar. Bring it to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar has completely dissolved.

  3. 3

    Infuse with Roses

Once the sugar syrup is ready, remove it from heat and add the prepared roses. Stir gently to ensure all the petals are submerged. Let it steep for about 30 minutes to allow the rose flavor to infuse.

  4. 4

    Strain the Mixture

After steeping, strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a clean container to remove the rose petals.

  5. 5

    Add Lemon Juice and Vanilla

Add the lemon juice, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the strained syrup. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

  6. 6

    Cool and Store

Let the mixture cool to room temperature before transferring it to a bottle or jar. Store it in the refrigerator where it will keep for about 2 weeks.
