Prepare the Glass
Rim a chilled cocktail glass with salt, if desired.

Mix Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine mezcal, Aperol, ancho chile liqueur, passionfruit puree, and fresh lime juice. Fill the shaker with ice.

Shake
Shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled.

Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into the prepared cocktail glass. Optionally, garnish with a lime wheel or a slice of fresh passionfruit.
