Wonton Soup Ingredients

Method

Wonton Soup Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped shrimp, green onions, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Fill the wontons

Take a wonton wrapper and place about a teaspoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water and fold the wrapper over to form a triangle, pressing to seal. You can also fold the two corners over to create a traditional wonton shape.

  3. 3

    Prepare the broth

In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil. Add the sliced ginger and simmer for about 10 minutes to infuse the flavor.

  4. 4

    Cook the wontons

Carefully add the prepared wontons to the boiling broth. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the top and are cooked through.

  5. 5

    Add vegetables

Add the halved baby bok choy to the broth and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the bok choy is tender.

  6. 6

    Serve

Ladle the soup into bowls, garnishing with fresh cilantro. Enjoy your homemade wonton soup!
