Method
Prepare the Dough
- 1
Activate the Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water (110°F or 43°C), sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- 2
Mix Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Create a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil.
- 3
Knead the Dough
Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 4
Let It Rise
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Assemble the Pizza
- 5
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) about 20 minutes before baking.
- 6
Roll Out Dough
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness (about 1/4 inch). Transfer to a pizza stone or baking sheet.
- 7
Spread Tomato Sauce
Evenly spread the tomato sauce over the rolled-out dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- 8
Add Cheese
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, followed by dollops of ricotta cheese.
- 9
Layer Toppings
Add the sliced salami, red onion, and red bell pepper evenly over the pizza.
- 10
Drizzle Honey
Drizzle the chili-infused honey over the top of the pizza for a sweet and spicy kick.
- 11
Bake the Pizza
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- 12
Serve
Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve hot.
