Mojito Preparation
1. Muddle Mint and Sugar
In a sturdy glass, place the fresh mint leaves and the white sugar. Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, gently press down on the mint leaves to release their oils and mix them with the sugar.
2. Add Lime Juice
Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice from one half into the glass over the muddled mint and sugar. Reserve the other half for garnish. Stir the mixture gently to dissolve the sugar.
3. Add Rum
Pour in the white rum into the glass and stir to combine all the ingredients well.
4. Add Ice
Fill the glass with ice cubes to the top, allowing the ice to chill the mixture.
