Method

Shrimp Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Shrimp

In a large bowl, combine the shrimp, olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to ensure the shrimp are evenly coated. Let the shrimp marinate for at least 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Shrimp

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they turn pink and are cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.

Gyro Assembly

  1. 3

    Prepare the Pita

Warm the pita bread in a dry skillet or microwave for a few seconds to make it pliable.

  2. 4

    Assemble the Gyro

Place a generous amount of shredded lettuce on each warmed pita. Top with cooked shrimp, diced tomatoes, sliced red onion, and crumbled feta cheese.

Harissa Comeback Sauce

  1. 5

    Make the Sauce

In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, harissa paste, lemon juice, garlic powder, and salt. Adjust seasoning to taste. Stir until smooth.

Final Assembly

  1. 6

    Finish the Gyro

Drizzle the harissa comeback sauce over the assembled gyros. Serve immediately with extra sauce on the side if desired.
