Preparation Directions

1

Prepare the Crab Cakes

In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, egg, bread crumbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until well combined.

2

Form the mixture into 4 patties, about 3/4 inch thick. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

3

Cover the patties and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them firm up.

4

Broil the Crab Cakes

Preheat the broiler in your oven. Brush the tops of the crab cakes with olive oil.

5

Broil the crab cakes for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.

6

Prepare the Lemon Pepper Aioli

In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, lemon juice, black pepper, garlic powder, and salt until smooth.

7

Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

8

Assemble the Sandwich

Toast the burger buns if desired. On each bun, place a lettuce leaf, a crab cake, a slice of tomato, and a generous dollop of lemon pepper aioli.

9

Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
