Directions

1

Prepare the Caramelized Onions

Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Slice the onion and add to the pan, cooking until soft and golden, about 15-20 minutes. Stir occasionally and season with a pinch of salt.

2

Cook the Bacon

In another pan, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the pan and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.

3

Form the Patties

While the bacon cooks, form the ground beef into four equal patties. Season each patty with salt and black pepper.

4

Cook the Burgers

In the same pan used for the bacon, cook the beef patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium doneness. In the last minute of cooking, top each patty with bleu cheese crumbles to melt.

5

Assemble the Burger

Toast the kaiser rolls if desired. On the bottom half of each roll, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the burger patty with melted cheese, then add a slice of tomato, a few slices of bacon, and a generous spoonful of caramelized onions. Top with the other half of the roll.

6

Serve

Serve the burgers warm with your favorite sides.
